Toronto rolls out the 'Red' carpet for big stars

PopGoesTheNews.com >> Toronto will soon play host to the all-star cast of Red, a big screen adaptation of the graphic novel by Warren Willis and Cully Hamner.

Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John C. Reilly and Mary-Louise Parker are all signed on to the project, which will begin shooting in Toronto in January. Production is also scheduled to take place in Louisiana.

Red is about a retired CIA operative (Willis) who is targeted by death by a new CIA director (Freeman). The film is due in cinemas next November.

Willis and Freeman previously worked together on the made-in-Montreal Lucky Number Slevin. Willis made 2006’s cop flick 16 Blocks in Toronto and Reilly made 2006’s Dark Water and 2002’s Chicago in the city.
