Here's what to expect at Sunday's MMVAs

PopGoesTheNews.com >> This year's MuchMusic Video Awards are shaping up to be one of the best! Rehearsals went on all day Saturday until shortly after 11:15 pm when Adam Lambert (pictured) finished a fiery run-through of his hit "Whataya Want From Me?" on the "incident" stage at John and Queen St. surrounded by emergency vehicles.

Over on the "microwave" stage, Miley Cyrus performed her singles "Party in the USA" and "Can't Be Tamed" – the latter a show-closer that ends with an explosion of fireworks. Katy Perry's super sweet performance of "California Gurls" took place on the "George Foreman" stage accompanied by female dancers and lots of ice cream.

Canada's own Justin Bieber, who flew in on Saturday after about a week of rehearsals for his upcoming tour, skipped the day's first sound check because he was reportedly under the weather. But after dining at the Hot House Café on Church Street he had enough energy to run-through a medley of his hits under a shower of lasers.

Also performing on Sunday's live broadcast are Ke$ha, Marianas Trench and Down With Webster. Presenters include Kellan Lutz, Snooki, Kristin Cavallari, Whitney Port, Pauly D, Nina Dobrev and Shenae Grimes.

All eyes will be on blogger Perez Hilton, who was widely criticized last week for linking to an up-skirt photo of 17-year-old Cyrus on Twitter, who called him an "idiot" on Ryan Seacrest's radio show. Will they run into each other?

Tune in to MuchMusic on Sunday night for the red carpet special followed by the live show at 9pm. There are many other ways to experience all the action so click here for more details.
